the Greater-Irving Las Colinas Chamber. We are a very active Chamber, and the first Chamber in Texas to receive the coveted Five Star designation by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Our three goals are to provide our small businesses with opportunities for Networking, Developing, and Promotion.
Networking – The Chamber provides a different networking event each week of the month with Business Connection on the first Wednesday of the month in Las Colinas, Coffee Break the second Thursday of the month in Heritage Crossing area of the City, Women’s Alliance the third Wednesday of the month at La Cima Club in Williams Square, and our Five Star Mixer, the fourth Tuesday of each month. You will also find opportunities for developing new business relationships by becoming active on one or two of committees.
Developing – The Chamber provides various educational opportunities for our members. Three of our four networking events include mini-seminars on current business issues. We offer additional training seminars through partnerships and in-house programs, many developed and presented by our members, like Wael. If you have a suggestion, or a need, we will strive to meet that need. We also host an annual event for our small businesses, and this year, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development has selected our Chamber to be the host for the Governor’s North Texas Small Business Forum. This Forum will provide a cost effective way for you to receive training, and we are planning a Business Expo as part of this event.
Promote – For your investment, you will be added to our member directory on our website, www.irvingchamber.com, which for the month of February had nearly 2.5 million “hits”. We will also keep you informed of business activity in Irving through our Monday Business Report that goes to more than 11,500 e-mail addresses. We will assist you in getting your news releases to the media. Additionally, we promote our small businesses nationally through the US Chamber’s Small Business of the Year program. Irving has more “Blue Ribbon” designated small businesses than any other city in America. We had five our businesses to receive this national recognition this year, with a total of 12 from our Chamber!
During March, we are having a membership drive and are offering 13-months for the price of 12, and a special reception for new members on March 22nd , 5:30 p.m. at our main Chamber office at Williams Square, 5201 N. O’Connor Blvd, Ste 100. Our basic membership begins at $365 per year ($1 per day) and provides you access to our networking events, committee memberships, and other business development opportunities.
We hope that you will give consideration to becoming a member of our Chamber and allow us to help you grow your business through our networking, development and promotional opportunities.
